Taken 2 Blu-ray Pre-order

I'm a BIG fan of the 1st one but no chance to see this one at the theater..
so Day 1 blind buy!! ..

I'll wait 'till this one drops to $10, then BBY's T&S. I just saw it in the theaters a couple days ago with the free movie money from Taken

Loved the first one but unfortunatley missed the 2nd in the theaters but its a first day blind buy for me.

So how does the sequel compare to the first movie?

Still waiting to "blind buy" Taken on BD for $9.99 at Best Buy.
But it's still sold out at all the BB's in my area.

Must be a really good movie.

The first film is quite good and it's worth picking up on Blu-ray.

I've seen Taken 2 and it's not very good. I would recommed a rental before purchase.

It was entertaining, but honestly, the plot is quite goofy, and it was not necessarily needed. It was fun to see all of the original cast members present, but it's definitely not worth day one pricing on blu.

The story was actually pretty good, and Liam Neeson was awesome. The worst part about Taken 2 was the action. It was IMPOSSIBLE to tell what was going on in any of the fights with the quick cuts and shaky cam. I don't understand why Luc Besson keeps letting Olivier Megaton ruin his franchises.

I agree, it was disappointing.

On a side note, I'm glad they went ahead and matched how the first movie cover looks

I found the first one to be decent, 2nd one is essentially a continuation. But not nearly as entertaining. Definitely below average, I'm glad I saw it for free (picked up Taken 1 for $5 and came with $10 movie cash). Lots of really stupid action scenes that just felt forced.

Offering an unrated extended cut was a good idea. This movie had no business being PG-13, not when the popularity of the first film was unaffected by its "R" status. Loved the original, so I'm looking forward to seeing the unrated cut.
