I was thinking the other day how I love the first 10 to 15 mins of John Carpenter's Vampires. Even though that movie never completely bombs for me, the rest of the film just never lives up to that awesome farmhouse hunt/after party opening.
This got me thinking about From Dusk 'Til Dawn. I remember enjoying this one when it hit theaters, but most of the people I talked to about it at the time were disappointed that the movie initially promised a crime story, but ended up delivering a vampire bar brawl in the end. So, are there any movies you like the beginning of, but think they fail after the opening act is finished? |
