Similar to the listing for It Follows, Amazon also has one for Ghost in the Shell that says it comes in a "Metal/Steel packaging"

Edit: Just found out it's a reprint of the U.K. steelbook released in 2014.

Looks like Amazon updated the cover art. As expected just like the UK steelbook. Wish this would've happened earlier as I could've saved a few buck by not importing.

Shouldn't be if the Amazon artwork is any indication. It's the cover art for the most recent Anniversary edition, which is the original version remastered.

NO, no THAT one! I don't know what the Japanese studio were thinking? Those CGI scenes are atrociously bad, bad, bad! I really wish it is the original Ghost in the Shell. I regretted buying the 2.0 without reading the review.

My copy from Amazon arrived yesterday but I didn't open the bubble mailer today. Luckily the SteelBook is in perfect condition! I'm always weary about ordering SteelBooks online...

I just remembered that the Amazon listing mentions this SteelBook "Includes a Limited Edition Collectible 24-page book featuring an interview with Director Mamoru Oshii."

I guess that isn't the case? Mine didn't come with one and I haven't seen anyone else's either...

Glad I didn't shell out any money for the regular release.

I'll happily buy the steelbook once i'm able to come across it in the wild...or perhaps once i'm done buying the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series on blu-ray, I might order it.

I didn't get the book either. It should have been inside on the left where the paper/ad usually is.

It was a description error. There wasn't supposed to be a booklet
