Default Blu-rays you would love to buy, if they had better A/V?

I would love to have these more than any others, if they had better video transfers with high definition audio:

Interview with the Vampire

GoodFellas

Unforgiven

What say you?

There are so many I would love to buy if they had better special features.

But based only on A/V I would say some of the James bond films

Predator

Hitch

Overboard

Broken Arrow

Entrapment

xXx - would gladly double dip if they fixed the PQ issues with this release.

Mission Impossible - the US releases of these are terrible in the PQ department.

Anything that used the MPEG-2 codec, plus quite a few more I am too tired to list tonight.

Black Hawk Down is the only MPEG-2 blu-ray that I've ever seen that looks great, and I would imagine that it would look even better in the MPEG-4 codec. I don't think the original version of Predator looks terrible, but an MPEG-4 encoding on a BD-50 couldn't hurt at all.

Generally, you buy the movies not the special features anyway! The special features are just bonus materials that's included on the disc(s). You can get the special features on the DVD, if that's the case.

The only BD I know of that is worse than the DVD is the UK Tale of Two Sisters. Every other BD is an upgrade so go ahead and buy it. Buy it used to protest the studio not giving us the best.

Interview... has a damn good video presentation considering the way it was shot (low light, soft focus painterly look). The detail and color is significantly better than any SD release and I don't know how much better it can get. While it would have been ideal to have a lossless track the 640kbs DD track is quite strong, as good as several other BD's having lossless tracks. Unforgiven also looks very good and has a strong albeit not lossless track. If you've been denying yourself these films simply on the basis of them not having ideal "on paper" specs, I suggest you reconsider.

I would love for Predator to get a re-hauled BD to correct the severe DNR on the special edition BD. Terminator 2 again has significantly smoothed out video in its Skynet edition avatar, so it would be nice to have a replacement (also from what I hear the skynet menu gives issues when looking for an internet connection). Devil's Rejects has issues with its MPEG-2 transfer (plus they really need to include the humongous making of, even if they have to put it in a second BD/DVD for it). I would love for an ACTUAL (non-upscaled) HD version of Riki-Oh: Story of Ricky , one of the most awesome campfests ever. I did buy the current BD since I did not have the film at all, but it's a travesty.

^^ Wow, it looks that bad? (I remember seeing that as a kid when it first came out, haven't gotten back around to it since.) Too bad I just opened it the other day so I could get points to get the $3 coupon to get IM3.

For starters, I'd like to get Betty Blue on blu. Don't have the nerve. Also decided against getting The Earrings of Madame de.... And Lola. And Spartacus.

May import Time Bandits, that one finally seems to have been done right.

Dial M for Murder. Official reviews are mostly negative. Member reviews are mostly putting official reviews down and claiming the obvious. I'm still undecided.

Since Millennium now has the rights, a remastered version is extremely unlikely.

Also, I think it's hilarious how this Blu-ray has the DTS featurette from the DVD (which was from the Superbit line) but the disc itself does not a DTS track (and Millennium is one of the few companies that doesn't work with DTS so a reissue would still likely have this problem).
