Default I read this on the HD-DVD forum......

Now that we got that outta the way, let's get to your first question. We first have to ask ourselves "Why?". Why did Disney, and so many other movie studios turn to Blu-ray? The answer is simple... Bootlegs! The one thing that is killing us in the format war is the Disc Protection. We have none. Blu-ray is encoded with a special copy protection that movie studios are in love with, and by their own right, they should be. It saves them hundreds of billions of dollars per year. It doesn't save us a dime though.

If Blu-ray wins the format war we will never be able to buy bootleg HD movies and that just plain sucks for you and me. I'm not saying I buy bootleg movies but don't you think that we should have the choice between $30 dollars and $10 dollars? I mean, do the movie studios have to make all the money? They are even trying to take Bootlegs away from us with this Blu-Ray crappola!

Fight blu-ray to the end! If they win you can say bye bye $10 bootlegs!

I say that no copy protection is HD-DVD's best feature. It will save you thousands over a lifetime.
Can you believe this guy's argument for why HD-DVD is better?
