Default Anyone here use a P.O. box for their movie purchases?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has (or has had) their movies delivered to a USPS P.O. box?

If so, have you had any issues with it?

Is there anything I should be aware of?

Would UPS or other non-USPS carriers deliver to a USPS P.O. box?

Are there any notable retailers / e-tailers that do not deliver to P.O. Boxes?

I ask because I've had some issues recently with some missing orders and I am search of something more secure. Plus, I am kind of tired of feeling like I always need to be on top of what I order. It would be nice to show up once or twice a week at the post office and pick up my stuff.

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know FedEx and UPS will deliver to those address and packages too big for your rental box will be held like any other mail.

UPS Store has a similar program though I think it is quite a bit more expensive
Thank you for the advice! It is much appreciated! That sounds like a great program from the USPS. I will definitely look into it. I have a couple of items to mail off on Tuesday (one being a DVD as a result of the Family Video UHF mix-up) so I will ask a USPS employee then. Thanks again!

Figured I would just add on in case anyone needs this information for future reference:

I called my Post Office and in regards to using a real street address, when you want something delivered to your P.O. box you use the address of the Post Office, add the # sign, and then your P.O. box #.

So:

123 Main Street #1
City, State
Zip Code

Does UPS deliver to a post office, though? I would be surprised if UPS would deliver to a traditional post office.

UPS would care because it is a competitor... In the past it was a blanket "UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes" policy... and if this is an end-around that policy, UPS could very well refuse to make such deliveries.

Personally, given the way UPS is structured, I wouldn't take the risk.

I have all my purchases sent to my PO box.

It's how I keep my wife from divorcing me :-)

I own a PO Box and I gave my local post office permission to sign for my UPS packages as well as FedEx...no issues whatsoever...only thing is, my post office will not deliver my ups or FedEx package the same day, it is usually delivered the next mailing day...sometimes, I get it delivered to my PO Box the same day...

Best thing to ever happen to me with respect to owning a PO Box...

Oh and the UPS truck delivers to my post office, FWIW...

The address is my local post office address unit (the number of the PO Box) and then city, state, and zip code...

Learn something new every day. I don't have a PO Box, but I never thought that would work with UPS or Fed Ex. I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever do get a PO Box in the future.
