Default TV Shows ?

I love my favorite TV shows on Blu Ray. And i always buy shows i really like and want to own. Never bought a show i have never previously seen on tv or netflix either so when i buy a TV show on Blu Ray i know what i will get.

And when i buy season 1 of a show i continue buying it until its done. So my question am i one of the rare people to do that. Because i see the collection numbers shrink for each new season of every show. Is it because they don't bother to update their list (like me) or is there actually people here that buy the first season of a show and then just stop buying the rest of the seasons

I generally try to keep up with all the newest releases of my favorite shows. Sometimes, life happens though and there are things that I'd rather spend the cash on or things that i NEED to spend the cash on and then those tv show sets get pushed back until they are on sale.

I've had some tremendous blind buys that have gone on to become some of my favourite shows, so I guess we're completely different I don't think anything beats that feeling of watching a show through for the first time on Blu-ray.

I have purchased the first season of some shows, not got into them and so never bought any of the following ones.

I rarely will blind buy a TV show, I did buy Penny Dreadful on a blind buy and was not disappointed but that was rare, I got it because my wife and I are big Timothy Dalton fans.

I have blind bought quite a few TV shows on Blu (and DVD). Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire were among my better blind buys. Some shows I didn't wait for a Blu-ray release for, like The Shield and Six Feet Under, both of which I also immensely enjoyed. If I hear enough good things about a show that I haven't seen, I'll blind buy it. And yes, I will continue to buy each subsequent season until my collection is complete, even if I didn't really like it by the end (Heroes).

I usually watch the first season on Netflix then if I like it I start collecting the seasons.

Shows I've Bought thanks to Netflix[now I never watched these before so I did not know how good they were]

The last Show I watched on Live TV Was Star Trek Voyager...

Fringe
LOST
Murdoch Mysteries
Poirot
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries
Mad Men
The Dick Van Dyke Show
The Walking Dead
Hell On Wheels
Justified
Longmire
Arrow
Nikita
Sherlock
Star Wars The Clone Wars
Hawaii Five-O
Person Of Interest

I Also try to pick shows with at least 2 to 3 Seasons out already so I know it won't be a short lived show. I also look to see if the show is getting renewed for another season or if it is getting canned.

I usually just watch TV shows that I like through their various seasons and only commit to buying the BD's once a complete series becomes available. That way very large bulky boxsets that contain a large number of seasons I'll avoid as takes up too much of my very limited space and also I feel once a complete series is available you tend to get extra supplements that you don't get if you picked up each individual seasons on BD.

I've never blind bought a tv show on blu-ray. The only tv show blind buy I ever made was Alias. Season 3 was coming up soon on dvd and I heard good things about it so I bought season 1 , started to binge watch it and got half way through it and blind bought season 2. Glad I did because getting hooked on Alias made me decide to watch Lost which I probably wouldn't have otherwise.

I buy every season of shows I like because I'm one of those rare people who like shows from episode 1 to whatever (not every episode and not ever season is good but I find that enough of it is for me to continue getting it. A lot of people stop buying tv shows probably because they no longer enjoy them.

I have to REALLY like a show to buy it before it's completed it's run on TV, I'm so afraid of committing myself to a show that gets canceled and is never given a chance to wrap up it's story lines.

But I AM buying 'Once Upon A Time' as it's released, along with 'Bates Motel,' & 'The Big Bang Theory.'

I have the blu-ray of Season 4.5 of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica I bought for 79 cents plus shipping and tax from Amazon. I think there is another set at the same price on amazon?
