Well received my new Emotiva Receiver yesterday. Very well built and with outstanding connectivity.
Once I get everything set up I will post some thoughts about its performance. |

I picked up one a couple months back and I love it. I’ve found it easy to use it has all the features that you need and like you said the build quality is very good. Emotiva was able to lower the production cost and pass the savings onto the end user. How many manufactures will do that? Sound quality is very good for movies and not bad for music too.

i was thinking about grabbing one of these as well, but my only concern is that i may have regret for not getting a receiver that is not 4k compatible, maybe not now but in 1-2 years as it becomes more prevalent. Was this something you guys considered?

I thought about the fusion 8100 doesn't come with any 4K features or the new Dolby atmos. Down the road I might get a Oppo player that will address the 4K problem with dual HDMI outputs and I'm not interested in Dolby atmos. For the price you can't argue for what you get.

As for the HDMI/HDCP issue, i suppose you can always just bypass the HDMI all together and just send audio to the receiver via the TV, BRP etc |
