You know how people complain that we never get great films at the same time, or even before, the US does? Well this and Airplane prove that's not always true (unless a US announcement is soon to come). Both are classic comedies, and PT&A is one of my all-time favourite films, so I'll be picking this one up. Bit annoyed that I bought this on DVD only six months ago, thinking the Blu would still an insanely long way off, but I only spent £4 on it, so I guess it's not that bad. Hope it's a great transfer, to my knowledge Paramount may be slow with their catalog titles, but they do good work on them.

Maybe not too wise to announce this but I haven't seen this film yet....
![]() ![]() BUT this BD release will soon change that, I haven't seen the last 4 films of his, only seen the first 4 and they were all masterpieces in my eyes. |

I'd love to see it for the first time again, you're in for a treat. Have you seen Bowfinger by any chance either? |

Lots of great stuff in this, the frozen dog, the burning car, the "towel" and of course "where's your other hand?". Keep watching after the end credits.
I'd buy Bowfinger on blu without hesitation, one of Steve Martin's best and Eddie Murphy is tremendous as the gullible stand in and the paranoid movie star, "You cannot show it to the Laker Girls. I know you want to show it to the Laker Girls but you can never show it to the Laker Girls. Keep Mr Weenie in the pants. Always in the pants." |
