Really Warner? Really? Scooby Doo has jumped quite a few sharks in its day, but this recent one is a doozy

Kinda reminds me of when Scooby and the gang worked with the Harlem Globetrotters, the kid in me really wants to check this out

Yeah, first thing I thought of too. This one is more of a commercial cash-grab though as they're timing it to coincide with Wrestlemania XXX (April 6th, 2014)

I hope the superstars do the voice overs but I am now thinking they may get Scooby Doo to host Wrestlemania this year.

This was directed by Brandon Vietti, who co-created Young Justice and directed several episodes of Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

I just watched the trailer and it didn't look terrible to me. I like the Scooby-Doo Movies so I will pick it up.

If by silly you mean super obvious cash-grab, sure. In Warner's eyes this has less to do with the subject matter of Scooby-Doo cartoons, and more to do with WWE being popular with a certain demographic, and finding a way to make money off of that in time for Wrestlemania XXX. Obviously they don't have a lot of franchises they could latch that onto, so Scoobs was the obvious choice. I'm sure it'll be enjoyable to both Scooby fans, and WWE fans, its just the whole "corporately-packaged for your consumption" feel of it that bothers me.

And don't take my word for it. Warner doesn't mince any words in their press email on why they've made this:

Yeah I remember this was in the works like last year, the superstars that are featured did the voice overs. I will have to get this because my little brother loves the wwe and scooby-doo, so it'll be the best of both worlds for him lol.
