United Kingdom Micro Monsters 3D with David Attenborough (2013) Blu-ray 3D [Region Free]

This looks like a great series from David Attenborough. It is listed as region B. Does anyone know if it is really region free or if it will at least play on region A equipment?

Thanks

All these nature series by BBC and David Attenborough are great...
Flying Monsters 3D
Galapogas (make sure you get the right one)
Life of Plants
Micro Monsters
and theres a new one out which I havent got yet "Natural History Museum Alive"

I just checked the BR to see if it has a region..strangely there's NO marking whatso-ever, not on the disc, not on the over nowhere to be seen..... So sorry I cant help with that for you (I'm region B) unless you know of some way I can test???

This is the guy from the first Jurassic Park, the owner of the park if I have it right. This set of 3D documentaries on nature sounds good. Micro Monsters, too bad this is Region B. The title alone makes this something I'd like to watch and see what type of bugs or parasites they're talking about in 3D.

The 3D is strong in these documentaries from what I have read elsewhere, but will have to see for myself if they bring this out in the US.

Micro monsters is region free. I have it. I really liked this series. I believe most of the BBC documentaries are region free, or at least will play region A also.

Thanks Atomik for the info. How do you like the 3D in Micro Monsters? Strong 3D, medium or mild would you say?

I would say it is fairly strong. Some of the bugs pop off the screen. I also have the Natural History Museum Alive 3D BD. I hope it is region free, but all the others have been, so I am not worried. These are hosted by David Attenborough. Richard Attenborough was in Jurassic Park.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Sounds like it'll be fine here in Region A Land; I've put my order in!

Galapagos and Life of Plants are also very good. I have the US version of Flying Monsters, but have heard the UK version is longer, plus it is region free also.

Thanks for the tip about Natural History Museum Alive. I see it listed on Amazon UK but no sign of here in Canada yet. Looking forward to your review!

Natural History Museum Alive is region A playable, so I would guess it is region free. I was only able to watch the first five minutes and all I can say is wow. There is some really good depth showing and some great pop outs with dinosaur skeletons sticking right out of the screen. Can't wait to watch the rest of this.

No, Richard Attenborough was the one from Jurassic Park, but as it turns out he and David are brothers. David Attenborough isn't an actor, he's a naturalist who's done a lot of famous nature documentaries like Life on Earth and Planet Earth.

Hi, any of you guys own Micro Monsters? It's a 3D nature documentary narrated by the brilliant David Attenborough. I am getting this soon but can't see many reviews. Would love to know any opinions on the 3D quality.

Yep. It's demo 3D material. It's part of the David Attenborough 3D collection, also.

Sorry.
Yes, I own it. It's incredible if you're into nature docs, 3D, or both.
As good, or better, than any of the IMAX 3D Blus, quality-wise.
The David Attenborough 3D set also contains Galapagos 3D & Kingdom of Plants 3D.

Once you've seen Micro Monsters, you'll want to pick those up too!

If you go to Page 4 of the 3D Blu-ray Movies section, there is a thread about it.

Thanks Ray.

Yeah, I love Attenborough. Got all his nature docs so obviouly I am extending that to the 3D efforts. Will pick them up before the year is out. Slightly off topic, but he is shooting a 4k doc which is screening next week in the UK. I will pick that up for sure.

I have the Attenborough 3D boxed set, which includes this title. IMO, this is the best 3D presentation of all the 3D titles I've watched - including movies: the sense of depth and realism is unmatched. Should be a must-own for anyone with a 3DTV.
