Germany IMAX - Space Intelligence AKA Unraveling the Cosmos (2013) Blu-ray 3D [Region Free]

There are three of these on the Spanish, Amazon (https://www.amazon.de/IMAX-Space-Int.../dp/B00P9BRWBU

I'm thinking of getting one on a blind buy but wanted to see if anyone had a word up on this IMAX feature.

Did you mean German amazon as you have linked? They are German in origin but have English soundtracks as well. I don't think they are true IMAX features despite the title but they are space documentaries.

They make a combo of the 3 volumes. I've got it on order from a sale they had a few weeks back but it hasn't arrived yet.

I love space-related movies and documentaries so am easy to please when it comes to these things in 3D.

My wife found the commentary informative and pitched at just the right level, as did I - each of the three episodes stick to a basic theme and don't overcomplicate all the science.

I definitely noticed elements of cheapness (relatively primitive CGI, some less-than-smooth panning shots, editing around the ad breaks) and as usual I really could have done with more pop-out, but the absence of talking heads and the floaty camerawork really put me out there in space. Like I said, I'm easy to please, but I found the presentation to have exactly the immersive effect I'm looking for.

Only translated the Volumes:
Vol. 1 "Width and Distance"
Vol. 2 "Irrepressible Forces"
Vol. 3 "Strange Worlds"

And now with the correct Title-name, per IMDb

Unraveling The Cosmos (2013) (TV Series):
Season 1:
Episode 1 "Distance and Scale" (Dec 25, 2013)
Episode 2 "Extreme Forces" (Dec 26, 2013)
Episode 3 "Extreme Environments" (Dec 27, 2013)

Watched Volume 1 tonight. It was mostly cgi, though not the most sophisticated cgi. Didn't seem big budget like most Imax films, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. this first one mostly tried to impart how vast the universe is and the 3d really helps there. It wasn't all that sharp and the motion seemed a little fuzzy too. Gave it a 6.5/10 and do recommend for 3d lovers and/or those interested in space documentaries. Though if you're the type who has seen one "space doc" and you've seen them all, their are certainly better to fill that void in your 3d collection.
