I was just wondering if the AU version has the same transfer as the noise-filled UK version?

Extremely likely. Both Blu-Rays have the Studio Canal logo.

UmbrellaEnt are quite good at replying to emails, you could always confirm it by emailing them.

Certainly the same specs as the UK disc:

Video: MPEG-4 AVC Video / 31997 kbps / 1080p / 24 fps / 16:9 / High Profile 4.1
Audio: English / LPCM Audio / 2.0 / 48 kHz / 2304 kbps / 24-bit

And while the image doesn't look too bad on a smaller screen, it's not good projected, it's very noisy...
