Talking the classics is cool and all, though it takes the lion's share of discussion.
Tell me about the latest, trendiest present releases. Or better yet recent gems that'll be reevaluated - in time. Shin Ultraman might be one to try. I have seen Shin Godzilla. From the look of things, non-Japanese animation is especially under the radar. Too bad Sherlock Holmes and the Great Escape is DVD only. Cute looking and fairly obscure (when I last checked, a paltry three members own the US disc). On the more ordinary anime front, I did pick up Suzume. It also sounds like I'd enjoy The First Slam Dunk, whenever that'll get a western video release. Try not to let anime overwhelm the thread, okay. |
