I've done a bit of searching on here and can't seem to find the answer. I'm trying to expand my knowledge and came across a thread on here comparing different versions of movies. Im understanding the picture quality comparisons but the audio is confusing me. Here is an example:
Domino US - VC-1 15224 kbps, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 1736 kbps 16-bit, English subs (Region free) UK - VC-1 26320 kbps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 2125 kbps 16-bit, English subs (Region B locked) Best PQ As you can see the picture quality is better on the UK version and it is stated as so. My question is wouldn't the DTS audio track be better than the Dolby track (basing off the bitrate) or does Dolby produce comparable audio using a lower bitrate? Thanks in advance |
