Ordered this from a UK Amazon reseller (I'm in the UK) and it was listed as 'in stock' last week, but hasn't shipped yet - so I guess it'll arrive soon

Does this have a shemaroo watermark I take it? Are there any other versions?

Just received my copy.

Not sure if there are multiple versions available... as the version my GF bought for me was supposed to have a second disc of extras (on DVD)... this seems to not mention any special features.

Anyone know (before I open it) if this is a 2 disc set? Thanks

The one listed on amazon mentions it as being a 2-disc set (DVD+Blu-ray). However, Flipkart lists it as a single disc Blu-ray.

Now, open it and let us know if it's got that ugly chheeemaroo watermark plastered all over

Yup - it has the Shemaroo burnt in (bottom screen right)... oddly the pre-title sequence and the titles don't have it. Basically it appears after the titles - and stays (stubbornly!) until the end! LOL

Plus, no disc of extras

Should have bought the DVD 2 disc -

Damn u shemaroo. one of the few gud films this year royally screwed. Lol here i m wondering whether yashraj has removed 5 sec watermark on dtph which is not even burned in ! The Bmb stubborn watermark comes as a slap from. shemaroo to all consumers. Simple request to all - plz boycott and dont buy.

I never picked up Kahaani or blind bought Ishqiya for that reason alone. I would've still reconsidered, had their logo design was even half decent.

I don't 'think' there are two different Blu-Ray versions (but I could be wrong!).

I was meaning that I should have just got my GF to buy the 2 disc DVD set... the only reason she got the BR was because of the Amazon listing (BR movie and DVD extras disc)... and now we know that listing is wrong.

Live an learn, I suppose... and there's always Youtube for extras... I just prefer watching a disc

I share the same sentiments towards shamaroo water mark. But do you think not buying it will give them the msg we want? Or will they just think there is no market for blu rays? Wish there was some way we could get this msg to them! Pardes will soon be released by them.. It'll be ruined with a watermark

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag opened in Japan last week.

In order to make the film more Japanese-theater-friendly, it was trimmed down to 153 minutes
instead of its original time which is 186 min.
Maston Ka Jhund and several scenes around Army were omitted. And some of science involving
Milkha's love interests are also gone.
But there's one sequence in Japanese version that didn't appear in Indian 186 min. cut.

Here's the description of the sequence.

[Show spoiler] Later in the movie, when Milkha returns his hone in childhood, he reunites with his friend, Sampreet. After he said "I survived" and hugged, there's a flashback scene involving Sampreet witnessed his mother got killed but he escaped from pursuers by hiding under the seat of the train.

I wonder if this version ever screened in anywhere else in the world.
According to the Japanese distributor, this 153 min. cut was made by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra himself.

I may buy this version as I didn't buy Shame-aroo version because of watermark. Even I haven't any Shame-aroo title except Sarfarosh (just to check their old title Blu-ray). If they re-release all titles without watermark, I WILL buy their mostly good titles like Ishqiya, Queen, Madras Cafe, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Kahaani, The Dirty Picture, Baghban etc.

BMB was too long and boring imo when I saw it. It needed serious trimming just like MNIK.

I wish it was trimmed another 15 mins to get it around 128-130 mins. It could've been very good.

186 mins version is nothing more than above average.
