Hopefully these will be released around the same time in the US, but if not then they can be imported and played on US players since Japan is also Region A.

Predator and Commando must buy for me provided these mo&ons in Japan price it properly. If not I will be importing these titles from U.S. I remember renting Predator and Commando Laser Disc and ripping off to VHS tape owing to cost issues.

Looks like they're at the standard Y4,900 rate which is around $45. Amazon.co.jp is about the best place I know to get titles in Japan and they usually have the biggest (although certainly laughable compared to U.S. promotions) discounts around 25% which would put this in the Y3,600 area (~$32). Still quite expensive but a far cry from the $65- $90 I used to pay 20 years ago when I bought laser disks here.

Adding to what was mentioned on the front page news, the release of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid will also feature bloopers, deleted scenes, and commentaries.

Butch Cassidy and Predator are sure buys for me. I'm not much of a Commando fan though. Hopefully they will release at the same time in the US.

The review doesn't give the region coding status of this disc. It is also not yet contained on the http://bluray.liesinc.net/ list so at the moment purchasing it would be risky for region A people!

99.99% of FOX/MGM titles are and will continue to be REGION CODED.

Japan is Region A...the United States is Region A...so these Blu-rays will play in U.S. players.

The review I was referring to is for the German release and Germany is region B. Therefore it is not sure that this release will play in region A players.
