![]() ![]() Cinderella Signature Edition Blu-ray 6/25/19 ![]() Cinderella Blu-ray ![]() Cinderella Blu-ray Cinderella Blu-ray Review ![]() Cinderella Trilogy Blu-ray As posted in the Wish List section, the Cinderella Diamond edition trailer was included on the Lion King Blu-Ray in France, promoted it for a 2012 release! Like the LatT trailer, I think Disney did a rather good job with it! Last edited by Deciazulado; 05-22-2019 at 02:11 AM. |

I don't know that such a list exists. As far as I know, Disney hasn't made any announcements about a Peter Pan release.

Although I know it isn't "official" on some of the other threads I've seen one posted a couple times before. Those hard core Disney fans are very serious about their disney "stuff" "Friends of friends" who work for the mouse, former employees, Disney enthusiasts. You should see some of those threads when those guys argue back & forth! Man, watchout. My most recent memory when the BD release of Dumbo in other countries ie Mexico. IIRC

Definitely a must buy for me. Disney's Cinderella has been one of my favourite Disney Movies since I was a little kid. I still have my old VHS of Cinderella in storage.
The 2005 Platinum Edition DVD still hold up extremely well and I am very happy with it. But still I'll get the Blu-Ray for the new HD Transfer, Disney View Presentation, and new extras. |

Beginning with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on October 6, 2009 the Diamond Collection comprises an additional 13 of Disney’s most treasured titles, including: Beauty and the Beast; Fantasia and Fantasia 2000; The Lion King; Bambi; Cinderella; Lady and the Tramp; The Little Mermaid; Peter Pan; The Jungle Book; 101 Dalmatians; Sleeping Beauty; and Pinocchio. LINK to rest of story They are in order of year, but the Fall/Spring looks to be backwards. Lady and the Tramp Spring 2012 Cinderella Fall 2012 Peter Pan Spring 2013 The Little Mermaid Fall 2013 etc..... (I believe that is correct, but could be wrong ![]() |

Disney's Cinderella means a lot to me personally. I believe it was the first Disney movie I ever saw, thus being responsible for my obsession with the company. I used to watch it literally every single day for years as a small child via a taped copy off of The Disney Channel.
The Platinum DVD for the film has gotten a lot of flack from Disney fans who say it's too fluffy content-wise and that the meaty material is only vaguely connected to Cinderella itself (the Nine Old Men and Mary Blair documentaries). I disagree. Yes, the DVD has a lot of fluff (the ESPN thing is just strange), but it doesn't come at the expense of worthwhile content. The Nine Old Men and Mary Blair documentaries have just as much relevance with Cinderella as they would with any other title, so I don't understand the problem. Add to that a great documentary and extensive laserdisc content (galleries, song demos, radio shows, trailers, storyboard-to-film comparison, shorts, etc.), and you've got a strong release. All Cinderella was missing was an audio commentary which I'm sure we'll get on the Diamond BD (if not that, then a PiP experience similar to Bambi and Alice in Wonderland). I am looking forward, though, to whatever new content they come up with. A featurette on the film's influence in the parks would be nice, and if they could dig up any more live-action reference footage and pencil tests like they did with Alice, that'd be fantastic. It'll be interesting to see what colors they'll opt for in this release. I do believe Cinderella has the most controversial restoration of any Disney film, with many feeling the colors are too saturated and that certain hues are off (the whites in characters' eyes being blue, Cindy's hair being too yellow, the wedding scene being too gray). If Bambi is any indication, they'll be using the 2005 restoration as a base and correct whatever they can from that master. |

That's because Aladdin is not part of the Diamon Edition line.
