Rules:
Predict what the Rotten Tomatoes score is exactly a month after release (so January 18th). Gives it enough time to settle down from the initial opening week hype. Not looking at the audience %, just the "Tomatometer". 3 lucky winners get a free copy of the 3D Blu-ray The Force Awakens edition on release week from me (I'll amazon prime it to your house). If there are more than 3 winners with the same score, I'll draw names out of a hat and the first 3 will get the prize. Vote in the poll! (Votes aren't official, just to see what the posters here think in general), and make sure you comment your actual prediction in this thread via a post. One guess only please! Also those outside the US, you can play as well, just not sure how I'll ship it to you! Or we'll figure something out. Deadline for Entry will be one month BEFORE the movie is released midnight EST (November 18th 12am EST). Happy hunting, and May The Force Be With You all! NOTE: There's slight confusion as to what to post. Post a number like 73%, not 70-74%. You can pick whatever in the poll, poll isn't your official entry. You have to make a post with one number in it. Last edited by A Sith Lord?; 10-20-2015 at 02:00 PM. |

I'm going to wing it and say around 70-74 in the poll. Usually, because it's a JJ Abrams film, everyone will love it for about a month and then pivot right around, screaming about how terrible it was and how insulting it was to its franchise and yada yada yada.

So instead of 70-74%, take a guess of like 72%. The poll is just to see what the community is thinking. For everyone wanting to win, you have to post a number. |

I'm going to go with 86%. It looks promising enough to 86 the prequels (har har), but there will be critics who will say "it's just no match for the originals."
Thanks for the opportunity! |

I am going with an 88% rating. (since 87 was already taken, lol)
SW will always have fans who shall never be satisfied with anything other than the originals exactly how they saw them and remember them, and the series will also have die hards that will devour anything in the SW mythos. Many recent sci-fi & fantasy films have been well received on RT (Guardians of the Galaxy, Mad Max: Fury Road, The two Star Trek reboots, etc) so there is a very real possibility that this will garner a high meter rating, even if it isn't the proverbial bee's knees. |

SW would have done well, but Jedi is easily as bad as people make the Prequels out, so I think Jedi would do high 60s, low 70s if it were released today and people didn't have rose tinted glasses on.
