Default Battle Creek (CBS) -- From Producers Vince Gilligan & David Shore

There wasn't a thread about this, so I thought I would go ahead and post it.

http://www.deadline.com/2013/09/vinc...-order-at-cbs/

Ordered to series by CBS last September.

Vince Gilligan created the show and will produce it. David Shore, who created House, will be the showrunner.

The cast so far:

Kal Penn

http://www.deadline.com/2014/02/kal-...edium=facebook

Janet McTeer and just announced today, Dean Winters as one of the co-leads.

Winters played Tommy Gavin's brother on Rescue Me and was also on Law and Order SVU.

The 2nd lead has not been cast yet.

Recorded this last night and haven't watched it yet, but it got a terrible 1.0 rating so the show is pretty much dead already.

Yeah, I had no interest in this one either... just sounds too generic. Won't even bother.

I lived in Battle Creek 25 years ago. I always describe it as a miniature downtown Detroit. Not what I would describe as a 'small town' like they showed on the show.

They couldn't even get the name of the newspaper right. The Battle Creek Intelligencer??

Being a paperboy for the Battle Creek Enquirer was my first job. (I looked it up, it's still called that.)

As for the show itself...it was more comedy than anything else, but I don't see it lasting.

My dad is from Battle Creek and I go up there every summer. I'm interested to see what, if any, of the town they use.

I thought it was alright. I'll keep watching, but if (scratch that: when) it gets canceled, I won't cry.

I like alot of the cast from previous stuff but it didn't seem to gel much. Not to mention it seems to be making out the locals to be rubes.
