Transformers on DVD

I got it today and have just finished watching it (yes I know I'm a bad person for buying a Paramount film but I wanted it so meh!). The picture looked very nice upscaled on my PS3, probably just as good as the HD-DVD release

Anyhoo I don't know if anybody else has noticed but near the end when they have the big brawl in the city there's a bit where random electrical things are zapped, one of which is a boxed Xbox360! Thus turning it into an evil little robot (which no doubt would soon develop 3 flashing red lights and cease to work). It's only onscreen for a second or two but I thought it was amusing that the crappiest built console ever created from the evil empire that is M$ gets product placement as an evil little decepticon thing

Or is that just me?

360 is a MUCH better gaming system than the PS3. The only reason I have my PS3 is for Blu-ray movies, there's really nothing out gaming wise for it.

Would disagree with you there.
Most of the same titles are available for both.
I have friends who play Madden on both and say there is little difference.
Can not speak for it myself, as it is not my game.
Rainbow 6 Vegas is great on PS3, as is R:FOM.

Well I have both systems and I personally prefer the PS3, though I have always been a Playstation person so I am bias towards it. Granted there isn't exactly a huge amount of games for the PS3 but the number is increasing each week and there are some huge titles due to be released in the first half of next year. I guess it's all down to personal taste, for instance I've found Warhawk far more entertaining and enjoyable to play online than any of the Halo games. Though I'm guessing people would argue with that.

I think its far to early for that assessment. Sure it has more games but that does not make it a better gaming system. I would put it on a par with the PS2. The PS3 is the future.

Total load of crap. YOU can believe that the 360, thats an opinion and you're entitled to your own. But theres PLENTY of games out there for the PS3. I have 12 games and have put 300+ hours in it since launch playing games.

Anyways back on topic, my GF bought the transformers DVD since she loved that movie (I had mixed emotions, it was cool and all, but anything other than G1 story/looks and it looses a lot of cred for me) anyways i thought the dvd looked like ass.

In fairness to the guy you can be a Blu Ray supporter and also be a Xbox fan. I just think he needs to give the PS3 some time to get those games out to make PS3 gamers happy.

The 360 is a good system,when it actually works.

I gave up on the 360 after my third system died.

Well you get some great exclusive games; Gears of War, Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, those are just some of the exclusives that are currently out. And for the PS3 some good exclusives are; currently there is none that I have spent money on but I guess some people like Uncharted, and Rachet and Clank. Those are just the good exclusives that are currently out. I'm just waiting for Metal Gear Solid and Killzone 2 so I can actually use my PS3 to play games instead of just watching movies.

There was a disgusting amount of product placement in the movie from cars to Mountain Dew and others.
The movie itself felt like I was getting my brain carved out with a rusted fork, and is a classic example of a crappy movie hidden behind a mass of explosions and fast cuts.
I will not even get into how irritating it was to have Bumblebee pee on someone or how bad the ending was with Prime being jobbed out to be saved by the kid.
The only moments of the movie that were good ( imo ) were every time Prime spoke, and when Megatron scolded Starscream.
All I can say is that I am fortunate that the only true Transformers movie is available on blu.

yeah, every heard of FINAL FANTASY 13??? word on the street is xboxers are already stocking up on kleenexs for its exclusive ps3 release

Blue Dragon? If you're going to count that you should throw in Heavenly Sword and Folklore for the PS3.

Everyone has their opinions but I will say that I would not trade the PS3 line up for any other. ( And I have a 360 and a Wii gathering dust )

This doesnt need to get out of hand, but lets be honest... the PS2 KILLED the original Xbox, and this time its a lot different, but I think over time that will change and the PS3 will take over as the best gaming machine.

I'm just listing the games that I've heard alot about publicly on the 360 and PS3. And manly for the PS3 were the two I listed and MGS4 which ain't coming out anytime soon.

yeah, there was a little 360 robot, but we all know the second it jumped out of that box, 3 red lights would show up and it would die. (btw, I love my 360)
