Dragon Quest 3 Remake

Old school Turn based combat with hybrid 2D/3D graphics. I see it has enemies that move when they attack, which was curiously lacking in the last re-version. I also want to it have all the content from the different releases, ie: Pachisi, Monster Medals, Tiny Medals, all the bonus levels and post game content.

Trailer info says it will release on consoles worldwide, confirming a Western release.

Not confirmed for any system; mods can move this thread if we find out it isn't on PS4, but if I had to guess, one of them will be PS4.

I wish they remade it like DQ11 or at least DQ8, but still will get it.

I heard DQ1 and 2 will get similar treatment, but still no news about DQ4.

DQ 3 and 4 being remade like 8/11 is my dream but this will still be good. A very definite day 1, for whatever system it comes to.

Also I still wish they do this for DQ4 which is the one I really want remade properly. But 3 is definitely one of the best!

Those are my posts from the Switch board. I ordered collector's edition for PS5 (there's not PS5 thread). Also, remakes of 1 & 2 are coming next year.

Game is out on PS5 but there won't be a PS4 version but there's no PS5 thread, so I've been posting in the Switch thread. I'm playing it and am at Noaniels.

I did learn that this version lacks Pachisi but has all the other bonus levels from past ports, so I'd say they made a near-definitive version here.

I'm at Portoga now with a warrior, martial artist, priest, and magic-hero. I've played the NES version, beaten the gameboy color version, and am enjoying this PS5 version so far.

which was pathetically easy and way easier than the superbosses. In the GBC version it was the hardest thing you could attempt. But with wildside and pile on he just goes down so fast. The reason it was hard in the GBC version is he is immune to everything but physical attacks and had a ridiculous refresh rate. But pile on is basically a super spell that manifest as a physical attack.

Well anyway, now I am done. I really liked this remake, a game I once played ~10 times but not in over 20 years now. It's faithful and an improvement in most ways, and only a few things that I disliked as changes. Can't wait for Part I & II remake! Hopefully someone will make a thread for that lol.
