Probably Landis' '"forgotten" movie among all the others he did, but makes a fine companion piece to After Hours. Looking forward to a nice clean print in HD. And a Bowie cameo, to boot.

Awesome!! One of my most wanted and favorite comedies of the 80s! I was quite happy that Matinee was getting a release, but this just made my day.

Nice. I was really hoping Shout's recent heavy output of Universal titles would include this. This is such an oddball and quirky film you either get or you don't. I find it hilarious in ways you can't really explain...and I love all those director cameos (that John Landis can get so many prolific directors, musicians and actors, in this film and others, to come on and be stone-faced or silly is a real treat). Can't wait to see David Bowie again in particular.

And my god, Michelle Pfeiffer; is there even one shot in this movie where she doesn't photograph like a goddess? Is there even one unflattering angle that makes her look less than an absolute knockout? Still maintain she was THE most beautiful woman in the movies for well over a decade (and she still looks great). And yes, always thought she was a wonderful actress as well.

Pfeiffer was a GODDESS back in the 80's and 90's, and, for her age, still looks incredible today. Still waiting for the day when they'll cast her and Amanda Seyfried in a movie together as mother and daughter (or have Seyfried play Pfeiffer's character in an earlier time period). In fact, I just checked, and Seyfried was born the same year that Into The Night was released (as well as Pfeiffer's Ladyhawke).

Really hoping Shout can put together some nice supplements for this. Although input from Pfeiffer is unlikely, an interview with the always amusing Jeff Goldblum would be sweet!

I have that import and the PQ isn't very good. I'm really hoping Shout! doesn't use that master and releases a much better transfer

There is a new restoration that is playing at Venice next month. So Shout should have access to that.
