Hi, old thread I know

Just tracking a region B copy of this down. If anyone has this release can they confirm if this has forced subs and if not, what the PQ and AQ are like please.

Got this on Saturday, stunning PQ, really great, good audio and no forced subs. really enjoyed the movie, been a good while since I saw it.

I got this from Amazon.de yesterday and while testing the disc I found that the English language track had a horrible echo. Playing around with settings on my AVR after I turned off light dynamic range the sound reverts to normal. If I engage duration range again, as this is my standard setting for watching movies, the echo returns.

This is the only disc I have found this on, anyone else notice this?

I am noticing this as well. I am now debating on purchasing the French Blu-ray. The echo doesn't seem to be apparent on the German track. So you have dynamic range compression turned on while watching films? Usually this is turned completely off, period!?

Yes I use the light (day time) compression on all sources, it makes dialogue more audible and the surrounds less so plus living in an apartment it helps in not annoying the people that live below me. Glad to know it's not just my set up very annoying. If you do get the French disc please post back to let's is know if the issue is or is not present.

I will have to play around with the settings on my receiver to see if I can get rid of it.

This is kind of a forgotten movie. I’d like to see this eventually get a US release.
