It looks like a cheap public domain release. Is that the artwork they're using? I already have the Arrow Blu - only Bava I need on Blu is Kill, Baby, Kill.

Also have arrow version
Can't imagine this being any better with the outer presentation or audio/video quality

This is a Kino release; I can't be sure how it will compare to Arrow but I have appreciated some of their other Bava titles. I am surprised by the dismissiveness so far in this thread. That cover in the first post is obviously an old DVD edition. Great news in my opinion!

Indeed. Just a random picture from the internet.

I'm not.

Many hardcore fans already have the Arrow blu-ray, which is pretty inexpensive, has great extras (including 2 cuts of the film) and awesome packaging (reversible cover art, a double-sided poster, a booklet, etc).

Hence the "meh" reactions...

i think most people are dismissive because this movie has been available region free for years so if anyone really wanted it why wouldnt they have it already?

Well, ya know, as good as the Arrow disc looks, there is still significant room for improvement. The colors are quite off on the Arrow release, not as colorful as they are supposed to look. Even Tim Lucas agrees it isn't as saturated as it is supposed to be. I'll be buying the Kino disc!

B&BL - VCI is trying to work on it.
Black Sabbath - probably from Kino sans AIP version, but Arrow's will have it.
KBK - A 35mm print is being sought out for the bd, as whomever owns the negative is being difficult and doesn't want to supply it.
Shock - BU probably won't release it, but stranger things have happened.

Even without a full restoration, I'd be very, very happy with just a solid transfer that looks like a good 35mm release print.

Awesome! I have the Arrow version, and while it otherwise looks good the black levels are quite weak.
