Default new to PS4

So i have been a long time xbox one fanboy for years, last ps i owned was the ps3 and it died and i never replaced it. I just used my xbox after that. got the xbox one x and that's been my primary gaming console. i'm in the preview program with xbox and i am a xbox expert. But thursday i decided to get a ps4 pro and vr headset. I purchased several games for the ps4. i just need help in getting the most out of my ps4. downloaded a couple dynamic themes and i just found out the vr headset can utilize 3D movies. I LOVE the ps4 and i am sorry i'm late to the party. (but at least the games i missed are cheap now) so far the games i have for the ps4 are

paranormal activity vr
rick and morty vr
until dawn rush of blood vr
until dawn
god of war
uncharted collection
uncharted 4
playstation vr worlds
batman vr
resident evil vr
doom vr
last of us
job simulator vr
Detroit become human digital deluxe
heavy rain
here they lie vr
shadow of the colossus
little big planet 3
far point vr
the inpatient vr

Is there anything else that i am missing out on? i played god of war and even with the xbox one x, god of war is the first game i've played on 4k that i actually sat back and said WOW on. I see psn has the free games each month like xbox does. so i will download beyond two souls. am i missing any other ps4 games? i kinda feel like ps4 is better then xbox as far as the games and all.

First off, welcome to the dark side!!!

Second, in addition to what you already own, I'd recommend any of these titles to anyone getting into PS4...

Infamous Second Son/First Light
Until Dawn
Bloodborne
Ratchet and Clank
Shadow of the Colossus
Horizon Zero Dawn
Journey
Uncharted The Lost Legacy
MLB The Show (if you're into baseball)
Driveclub
Wipeout Omega Collection
Crash N Sane Trilogy
Nioh
The Last Guardian
Nier Automata
Persona 5
GT Sport
Detroit Become Human

Upcoming games to be on the lookout for...

Spiderman
The Last of Us Part 2

Ghost of Tsushima
Death Stranding

Some that are also worth considering as well, though wait for sales on all games as you already have more then enough to play for many months:

Beyond Two Souls (currently part of ps+ for a few more days as well)
Bloodborne
Detroit: Become Human
Gravity Rush Remastered (just be aware the first one was made for portable consoles and it shows at times, though still very fun).
Gravity Rush 2
Killzone Shadow Fall
Knack 2 (the first one was bad, the sequel was very good, not great but worth a look if it looks enjoyable to you)
Persona 5

I concur with all inFamous games and Horizon Zero Dawn. Without knowing what you've played on the Xbox and what your interests are, here are the games I've personally enjoyed:
  • Aragami
  • Asemblance (this is a short and weird game though)
  • Assassin's Creed: Origins
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
  • Doom (I never played the VR version, I assume it's different?)
  • Dishonored 1 and 2
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • Ether One
  • Everybody's Gone to the Rapture (this is a very slow game, but it's beautiful)
  • Far Cry 4 / 5 / Primal
  • Fallout 4
  • King's Quest
  • Mad Max
  • Mass Effect: Andromeda
  • No Man's Sky (be warned though, this is all exploration and very little combat)
  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole
  • The Talos Principle
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Shadow of Mordor / Shadow of War
  • Shadow Warrior
  • Watchdogs 1 and 2
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order (haven't played the latest one yet)
X-Com 2 is a big favorite of mine, but I don't recommend it on the PS4--the loading times get ridiculously too long after a while.

Remasters worth getting:
  • Bioshock Trilogy
  • Day of the Tentacle
  • Dead Island
  • Duke Nukem 3D
  • Flower
  • Full Throttle
  • Grim Fandango
  • The Last of Us
  • Metro Redux
  • Skyrim
  • Sleeping Dogs
  • South Park: The Stick of Truth
  • Tomb Raider (2013)

Horizon Zero Dawn is epic and is a must have for any PS4 gamer
Bloodborne is great, but you have to like this style of a game.

The VR version sucks. You can barely move. You have to teleport to go from spot to spot. Really takes away from the whole frenetic energy of Doom.

I think it's great and works really well providing you're playing with the regular controller. That way you won't need to teleport if you don't want to, and only use it whenever you do a "finishing move". PSVR version is the only VR version which can be played using free movement.

Rocket League is a fun game to have if you ever don’t feel like being too “involved” with the story for a gaming session. It’s also a good game to have around if you ever have less than 1 hour to kill some time with. The matches take about 7 or 8 minutes each (depending on how many goals & replays are produced). So, it’s good for short burst gaming sessions.

True, it’s not exclusive to PS4. But, I’ve heard from many people who have multiple consoles that the PS4 version plays much better than the other console versions.
