Australia Star Trek: The Compendium

When I contacted Paramount this afternoon about the release date of Season 7 of TNG, I also asked them about this Compendium set. They have not heard anything about it but they have stated to Paramount's Head Office in America that they are interested in releasing it here.

I also mentioned how some fans aren't happy that they have to buy this 4-Disc release just to get the extras-packed Into Darkness. I put in a request for the eventual Aussie release, to get the 4-Disc set released separately so fans can just get Into Darkness by itself.

This is still a woeful cash grab. Apart from the whole splitting of special features on the initial release, to now release a new version with those features, expect people to pay AGAIN (a $5 rebate - in the US at least - to buy two films you already own is hardly compensation) and then to NOT include the 3D IMAX version? Not on.

Abrams is on record as saying that the 3D IMAX version is his preferred version. After two attempts it's crazy that I'm still unable to buy what I saw in cinemas.

Was there a 3d IMAX? Wonder if they will ever do a complete edition.

Remember this is Paramount we are talking about and they are cheap. They also usually want another GBP10 / AUD15 for including a 3D BD disk so making this even more expensive.
