United Kingdom The Occupied City (Steve McQueen)

"The Netherlands Film Fund has granted support for seven projects (three documentaries and four feature films) with a total of €2.8 million.

One of the feature films to be selected is The Occupied City (De Bezette Stad) by the award-winning director Steve McQueen, known for 12 Years a Slave and Hunger. The film is based on the book Atlas van een bezette stad (Atlas of an Occupied City), written by his wife Bianca Stigter, who is also credited as a screenwriter on the film. The book focuses on visible and invisible traces of the second world war in Amsterdam, offering its readers an unknown history." [Source]

Sounds like an interesting story, potentially. And I'm always in for some more McQueen.

Cineuropa has edited the story (I know because I copied the first two paragraphs from there and pasted them in the first post here without editing anything). This film will be a documentary.

Steve McQueen’s ‘Occupied City’ is 4-Hours Long

Le revolution of directors making long films.

The film was made available for digital purchase in 4K in February.

Hopefully A24 does a BD or UHD soon.

It seems like there's no disc anywhere in the world yet.

We were out of luck.

No disc was ever issued anywhere in the world, as far as I can tell.
