I remember about a month ago I heard Universal was going to release their movies with aDVD copy. Well, up for pre-order now on Amazon are the following

Doom (2pc) (W/Dvd) (Unrated) (Ws Dub Exed Sub) [Blu-ray]
Dawn of the Dead (2004) (2pc) (W/Dvd) (Unrated) [Blu-ray]
End of Days (2pc) (W/Dvd) (Ws Dub Sub Ac3 Dol) [Blu-ray]
Last Starfighter (2pc) (W/Dvd) (Ws Aniv Rmst) [Blu-ray]

I Think folks I discovered the next Batch of Flippers after The Bourne Movies on Jan 19.

Hopefully there just using these movies to test the waters.

No, you didn't discover the next batch of flippers. One big hint seeing as January 5th is before the flipper launch date of the 19th. The first batch are basically the DVD case and the Blu-ray case shrinkwrapped together as a means to sell a BD/DVD combo and discontinue the DVD SKUs. The latter list of movies are presumably repromotes with movie cash for The Wolfman.

BTW, I think the flippers are a bad idea. The less amount of movies released as flippers the better.

Agreed. Hell I'm import all my movies if I have to to get non flipper versions.

Hopefully its just for Wolfman movie cash. Flippers MUST NOT get big again... we must kill them!

Flippers will never be popular. With Blu-ray on one side and DVD on the other, there's no place for artwork on the disc. And that's gonna end up making a whole big bunch of Blu owners seriously unhappy, me included.

The thing I hate most about them is there's no "safe side"..Well I guess we can just use the DVD side..

but flipper disks just suck in general. Schindler's List came that way and Casino and they both had playback issues. This is just a stupid move by Universal.

Universal is testing the market for them with the Bourne titles. If they do not sell up to expectations, hopefully Universal executives will see the error in selling flippers and abandon them.

Ya I can see them doing that but wouldn't the majority just want the entire box set? Most of us already have it..thanks to that recent price drop.

Would NEVER buy a flipper, no matter what the movie was, however if Hitchcock's "Vertigo" and "Psycho" were only released this way I would be forced to buy them.
