Unhappy My Movies App ... Request Error Code 2

As the title states, I'm getting a Error Code whenever I want to update my collection with the My Movies app.

I'm using an iPhone 5S with IOS 8.3 (It didn't work with the old IOS either, as I just updated this morning and it wasnt working this week either).

I haven't updated it for s while and yesterday I wanted to show my collection off to a friend and I kept on getting this error code. Tried to look for some information online but I couldnt find anything to help me resolve this issue.

As anyone encountered a problem like this? Can you help me fix it? What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks

!!!!!!!!! I had to voice my concern for it to work !!!!!!

This is what I did:

Deleted the App
Deleter the iCloud Back Up

Re-Downloaded the App
Generated a iCloud Back Up
Restarted the iPhone
Launched the App and everything worked.

Hope this helps someone in the future !

I discovered some memory issues in the logs and fixed them. Not entirely sure why it happened for you, but I'll keep logging a bit to see what might have been the issue: only your collection, or if it happens more often. Haven't seen this happen before. Maybe no one reported

UPDATE: Ok, now I see that your Blu-ray collection is quite extreme, with 20,000+ SKUs

It'd be nice to have an option to choose Best Buy when searching Blu-ray deals. It doesn't make sense that it's solely Amazon. Thank you.

The site makes $$$ from the Amazon clicks.

Also, BBY SKUs aren't always available...

(I tried doing a mass update of the BBY SKUs for titles in my collection, and every single submission was denied because I didn't link to bestbuy.com)

I also found that counter productive as the BBY SKU alone validates the change. You can simply search the BBY web site by the SKU to find the product. The same restrictions have never been mandatory for the Amazon ASIN.

Exactly!!!

But, providing the correct SKU is no longer enough...It's our job to provide the link. So, now I do.

I just wish that initial response would've been more...helpful.

That's pretty messed up. The priority of a member driven website should be to best serve it's members, not their own pockets. That's just my opinion. Nothing wrong with making money, but to withhold information, in this case (deals) just because they'll profit more from their cash cow (Amazon) is not cool.

The site makes money from BBY clicks too although the compensation might not be the same.

I had a bunch, in a row, denied too. I think it depends on who is approving the changes though. It's not like updating a bunch of profiles with BBY SKUs is a quick and easy task. When a slew are denied a lot of time has just been wasted.

But I'm still waiting to see those contribution rules we've long been promised.
