However, it appears that you are taking this line of response to somehow undermine the points made in my posts to you on the subject. I hope this is not the case....

Did you not receive monies through Amir ($5,000?) to start up the CampaignHD site?
All the best,
Mark Rubin
it's like 1984 over there you know? He's giving Richard Casey shit for calling him Ami'rs associate and my question won't be allowed to stay there? If he was given $5,000 from Amir to start up the "CampaignHD" propaganda site, wouldn't that make him an associate?

You know what they say..."Thou doth protest a bit much" and all. I would say AVM$ has conceded the point on behalf of Amir's little clone.

Man -- all he has to say is NO!

But again credibility wise -- it doesnt really matter if he received money or not

I'd certainly bet the over vs. the under on that likelihood.

rdjam has to be a viral marketer of some kind at the very least.

Where did you hear that he may have received $5,000? Just curious. I hang out over there very rarely anymore.

I don't doubt at all that he might have received some support for his efforts -- they're way too over the top to be even those of a raving fanboy. I think it's funny how the HD DVD camp is always talking about "Phase Hydra" or whatever the hell that thing was called, yet it seems readily apparent that there really is a concerted viral effort from the red side.

IMO, you should not be bothered with them. when warner goes blu, they'll see it for themselves for every FUD they made.

For the record. Both amirm and rdjam deny the accusation:

Let me stated this with absolute clarity. We have never paid Rdjam or anyone else (directly or indirectly) to represent HD DVD here, or on their web site. I don't think rdjam even has an HD DVD t-shirt which we hand out at HD DVD events. While I very much appreciate his efforts, we have never spent a penny to support rdjam. What he does, he does out of his own pocketbook and passion for HD DVD. I have only met the man once briefly and recently at an event, and that is it. Until that time, I had no idea what the man even looked like!

The implication by Rich that he works for us and others claiming he is paid by us is totally out of line and very disappointing.

I'd also like to reiterate to everyone that I have never received any re-imbursement or payment whatsoever for my support of HD DVD.

I do not know why some of the BD people here find it so difficult to believe that someone would support a format without being paid to do so.

I work in a completely different industry to CE and do this all in my spare time. All costs, from hosting, to mail service, to advertising, are met entirely by myself and my brother.

And yes, I briefly met Amir for the first time late this year - which was great fun, by the way.

I hope that that helps clear the air. Accusations like that really do whiff a bit of sour grapes, IMO.
