Default Torchwood

Anyone else enjoy this show? About two episodes in, think it's at least decent so far.

As you can tell by my avatar I'm a huge fan of Torchwood. One of my all time favorite shows. Believe me it gets better as it goes on. Series 3 (Children of Earth) is hands down one of the best things TV has ever produced.

Children of Earth is good. But bloody hell the first two seasons are so ill-judged.

I loved the first season a lot more than the 2nd one. I kinda liked the MOW episodes. Countrycide is by far my favorite episode.

I remember enjoying it a lot, watched it a few times (although I've only seen Children of Earth once) but I've not watched any of it for a few years now. I'm inclined to believe though my memory has softened the edges a bit, though, as I've seen more people refer to it as a train wreck than they do anything all that good.

Love Torchwood. I also believe it got better as it went along. I even loved Miracle Day, which a lot of people hate on. I want more!

I doubt there will be more , hasn't it been over for years?

UK is very tricky when it comes to shows. A show can be off air for years and than one day they announce it's coming back. Happens all the time.

US is even starting to do it with 24, X-Files, Heroes etc.

Though Torchwood is coming back with new audio adventures this September.

Quote:
The series will focus on a mysterious event that affects the entire Torchwood team, with each instalment focussing on a different character. The first release, "The Conspiracy" by David Llewellyn will star John Barrowman as Jack Harkness and is scheduled for release in September 2015, with five further instalments to follow.

Yeah, but those took place after series 2 and before series 3. These new ones are continuing the story from where Miracle Day left off. It's our first official continuation.

Gwen Cooper seems rather smitten with Captain Jack, eh?

Almost done with the 4th episode, starting a new job tomorrow is going to really hurt my ability to stream.

Congrats on the new job.

If you get a chance, I recommend watching series 3 (Children of Earth) in one sitting. It's a 5 part mini series.

Thanks and I will definitely have to try to watch all of Children of Men in one sitting now.

It seems John Barrowman would be happy to see his character come back, at least on DW

I thought it was quite diabolically awful, to be honest.

Almost done with season 2, taking a break to watch some polarizing comic bool films. This show is so much fun, kinda comes off like a Joss Whedon crime fighting show but it really hit the ground running and hasn't let up yet.

Yeah, while I enjoy season 1 more than two I gotta admit season 2 is the better of the first 2 seasons. Nothing tops season 3. For me it goes

Season 3
Season 1
Season 2
Season 4
