Do you watch movies directly off the disc or do you back them up to a HDD and watch them through a home media centre app like Kodi (formally XMBC) or Plex, or even iTunes for Apple TV. What ever your choice why do you do that?

Always on disc. Never really thought of watching them on a media centre. Just give me a TV and a Blu-ray player and I'm good. I've watched movies on computer a couple of times for the hell of it and didn't enjoy the experience. More comfortable in my chair in front a bigger TV

Disc only. The only exceptions to that are: When I am stuck somewhere with my phone where I use VUDU. I also have my favorite BDs ripped straight to some external hardrives so I can watch them on my PC anytime.

I watch the disc directly.
To do otherwise would feel almost like baking a fresh pizza, taking the toppings off of the pizza, microwaving them, and putting them back on the pizza crust. |
