USA Gounod: Faust (The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD)


Other variants of the disc could be purchased here. All of the current Decca releases are the exact same disc.

As of March 2014, Decca have released Gounod's Faust (2011), starring Jonas Kaufmann, Marina Poplavskaya, and René Pape, on Blu-ray in several markets.

This was the first Live in HD broadcast I ever saw, and what kickstarted my sort of "hobby" with opera. I recently purchased this disc from eBay (I am not sure what is going on with the current Amazon.com price of $59.99), and will be posting about it shortly.
