Default Hard Wiring Question

I'm going to be hard wiring my PS4 and my TV...Is Cat7 the best wiring for this?..Is there anything better, or can handle faster speeds and 4K transmission?

I ran cat 6 from my amp up to the projector through rj45 - HDMI converters, and I'm more than happy with the results.

I run ps4, Sky tv and blu Ray along this and have no issues, cat 7 will be an even more "future proof" install. I wasn't concerned with 4K at the time, sorry can't help with speeds etc...

You won't need Cat7 unless you need 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Cat6A should be enough.

If you mean Cat7, yes, you can still use it. Not sure what you mean by "will it harm anything". If you're running the cable through a plenum area, such as an attic, then the cable should be plenum rated.

As I said above I installed cat6, mainly because I had it readily available and I knew it was fit for purpose, if I had cat7 at hand I would have used that instead.

Get your cat7 ran in....you won't have any issues with it.
