Is Filmarena allowed to use that cover art? Its the same as Zavvi and didn't they have a competition where this art was chosen?

Yeah, I'm kinda confused on how other countries are able to basically make the exact same product as Zavvi and sell it for cheaper. How is it a Zavvi "exclusive" if it's available elsewhere?

It's Exclusive to the UK.

Because "exclusive" is just for whatever region/country the company is is based in. That's how the steelbook for The Gambler can be both a Target and Zavvi exclusive. Same reason a lot of steelbooks pop up in different places as exclusive, yet are all the same. Possibly they are all piggybacking the same order to make it cheaper for them, which is why the same steel is used everywhere unless they feel like spending more money to come up with their own design, which most companies don't.

So what you're saying is...it's really not exclusive at all? Haha. I mean, as someone in the States who views every European country as the same, because I'll have to import it from somewhere anyway.

Eh, more or less, depending on the steelbook. Like the Disney and Pixar lines haven't been released anywhere else so those are actually exclusive to Zavvi so far. But like V For Vendetta and Iron Man 3, the same steelbook was announced as being "exclusive" for a number of companies in different countries. It's really hard to say what will and what won't be actual exclusives anymore until the final artwork gets announced for the companies.

The last time Zavvi had a competition like they did for Whiplash that I can remember was for Only God Forgives and I remember the Zavvi one being different than the German one, which is usually a country that shares steelbook art so just never know.

Looked over the rules in the competition and found something interesting:
