Please Help with my Onkyo TX NR-609

I don't know if my receiver finally succumbed to the HDMI board issue that is widely spoken about; but i have been having these issues:

- There is no sound through receiver, the speaker icons have disappeared from the display.
- I am still getting video though in full HD; i have read that those who had the HDMI issue, didn't get any video signal either
-I switched the receiver Off/On couple of times, that seemed to get sound once or twice, but now nothing at all.
-I read that a reset might do the trick - so i did the reset but still nothing
- When i bought the receiver over 2 years ago, it had a hissing sound on the center channel after about 2 months; I sent it back, and it got repaired. It was mentioned that the HDMI board had been repaired.

I was hoping someone can assist me. I had called the place i bought the receiver and the guy told me, rather buy a new receiver as the cost to fix would be substantial.

I am in South Africa and don't know if the recall of these faulty receivers would apply to us.

I really do love this receiver and have had so much fun with it. It would be sad for me to see it go out like this.
