Default Hannibal: Season Three

Hannibal - Season Three Blu-ray PRE-ORDER

NEWS
https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=17656

Quote:
From the imaginative mind of Bryan Fuller (TV's "Heroes" and "Pushing Daisies") comes the final chapter of the smash hit series Hannibal - Season Three, keeping viewers' spines tingling on Blu-ray (plus Digital HD) December 8th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

Based on the characters and elements appearing in the novel Red Dragon by Thomas Harris, Hannibal, from Gaumont International Television (in association with Sony Pictures Television Networks), stars Mads Mikkelsen (The Hunt) as the iconic Hannibal Lecter, Emmy Award nominee Hugh Dancy (Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie, "Elizabeth I," 2006), Gillian Anderson (TV's "The X-Files"), and Academy Award nominee Laurence Fishburne (Best Actor in a Leading Role, What's Love Got to Do with It, 1993). The show co-stars Caroline Dhavernas (TV's "Off the Map") and guest stars Eddie Izzard (Valkyrie), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek franchise), Gina Torres (TV's "Suits"), Raul Esparza (TV's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"), Mía Maestro (TV's "The Strain"), Scott Thompson (TV's "The Colbert Report"), Rutina Wesley (HBO's "True Blood"), and Katharine Isabelle (SyFy's "Being Human").

Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) is on the run in Europe — accompanied by his psychiatrist, Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) — sporting a new identity, but servicing the same insatiable appetite. As the lives of Will (Hugh Dancy) and Jack (Laurence Fishburne) converge toward Hannibal again, each with their own motivations to catch him once and for all, their deadly dance turns in startling and unexpected ways.

Hannibal: Season Three contains all 13 episodes and is loaded with special features that include select episode audio commentaries with the cast and crew, behind-the-scenes featurettes, webisodes, deleted scenes, and a gag reel. The Hannibal: Season Three Blu-ray will be available for the suggested retail price of $24.99.

Special Features:

Audio Commentaries with Cast and Crew
"Getting the Old Scent Again: Reimagining Red Dragon" Featurette
"Beyond the Mind Palace" Featurette
"Hannibal on the Run" Featurette
Avid Fannibals
"Hannibal: Season 3: Killer Intentions" Featurette
Post Mortem with Scott Thompson (Webisodes)
Gag Reel
Deleted Scenes

I hope there is a complete series set collecting all the seasons and extras. It's what I was waiting to buy...

But I suspect there won't be one.

Day one purchase for me. I know that this season was the very definition of polarizing but I loved it and the finale was terrific.

Judging from what was said on Twitter the international release will not have all of these features.

Here is the tweet:

Sadly, it does mean that. The UK version will not have as many extras due to delivery deadlines.

that just sucks. So because UK just have to be first out off the gate with a freaking rush job they are not including extras. How stupid can UK release people get Hopefully the german release will once again come through with extras like they did with the first season.

Day one purchase. I can't imagine that an appropriate bookshelf piece for a complete series could be produced for this show so I don't mind just having the individual seasons.

One of the greatest series in recent history. Even if this is truly the end of the saga, what an end!!!

We need a Kickstarter campaign, to get this man a Region A player and circumvent these annual disappointments.

Its just poorly done by the UK to release a Half assed release just because they want to release the season first and then even release it Like that is a slap in the face to any fan of the show

One of the biggest season quality drop offs ever after probably the greatest network tv season in history.

I would like to watch finale one more time.

I've read this elsewhere, but it never fails to surprise me.

Season 2 was brilliant, yes, but the notion that season 3 constituted some sort of precipitous drop in quality is just wacky to me.

While there may have been an episode or two in the opening seven that were a bit more leisurely in their pacing, as a whole the season more than compensated with some of the smartest, boldest, most thrilling and emotionally wrenching television in history.

And then there's the imagery.

If anything, what I admire most about the third season is its confidence, and its willingness to double down on the qualities that made the previous seasons so unique; if the show had put its head down and humbly gone back to being a case-of-the-week procedural, that would have been disappointing.

Hoping for a nice complete series box set as I have yet to pick up any of the seasons yet. I defiantly want to watch this series again in a compressed amount of time. Sad it's gone but I felt the finale could easily have an interpretation of finality to it and didn't leave me with any lingering threads.
