I love watching the spectacle of E3. Luckily this one coincides with my holiday so I can watch it rather than wade through the mass of news afterwards.

Yeah, E3 is a good time to be a gamer. Between watching the press conferences.

It's better to watch than read about all the news afterwards.

Here's my E3 conference predictions for MS...

HUGE focus on Halo 5 Obviously this will be their bread and butter this holiday season. A large chunk of MS’ conference will be dedicated to this I think. I also think they’ll unveil an X1/Halo 5 bundle.

Forza 6 will be shown

Scalebound will be shown

Fable Legends will be shown

Crackdown will be shown

Phantom Dust will be shown

Gears of War HD Re master will be shown.

Killer Instinct: Season 3 will be announced.

Either Rockband 4 or Guitar Hero 5 will be featured (the other will be featured at Sony's conference).

New Rare game will be unveiled. With Yooka-Laylee in development by the original Rare programmers, I’m not really interested in a new Banjo-Kazooie. I’m hoping for a new IP but if not that, I’d like to see a new Kameo.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will probably get a lot of attention on MS’ stage.

New Mojang game will be unveiled (will it be Minecraft 2? Maybe a new IP?)

MS MIGHT devote at least some time to non-gaming stuff like Windows10/DX12 and the new UI on Xbox, etc but they might not. Phil likes to keep this conference completely gaming-focused. This is a “wait and see” for me.

Hololens might make an appearance.

New Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will be shown on MS’ stage (as usual) with X1/COD bundle shown.

There will be more of an indie presence at MS conference this year I feel.

Bold prediction:

New X1 “slim” sku will be shown with a 1TB hard drive @ 349.99

“Drop The Mic Moment(s)":

I think they’ll save Gears 4 for last and it will look amazing.

Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if MS comes back and announces Rise of the Tomb Raider as a permanent X1 exclusive.

And finally, in a surprise announcement, an X1 version of Oculus Rift will be announced.

Why?

Do Xbox fans take FPS games too seriously?

Always look forward to E3. I book the week off every year

Stupid time difference makes it impossible to work as well as stay up until 4am to watch streams. I wish we had it aired on TV here like in the states. Would make life so much easier.

Another game I could see at E3 for MS is Halo Reach being added to The Master Chief Collection, released later this year. I am fairly certain that both ODST and Reach were already planned as paid DLC, but given the issues with the game on launch, they spun it like ODST was being remastered/ported as an apology to the fans.

So given that ODST is near completion, I could so a release schedule of ODST in June, Reach in August and then Halo 5 in October.

Looks like they will have an updated controller going on sale after E3. Seems the only change is an added 3.5mm audio jack built in.

Time for everyone to say that MS stole from Sony. Personally I see it as a good thing as I like that feature on my DS4.

Looks cool but most likely will never get one. Don't think I've ever gotten a 2nd controller since the PS2.

Rumors are spreading around that Microsoft is in talks with Konami to purchase the rights for Silent Hills, a deal that is said to cost billions! The deal is being rushed now in the hopes that if it goes through, Microsoft can announce the title as an Xbox One exclusive at this year’s E3, a move that would potentially skyrocket sales for the console.

Evidence that points to this being a reality is that the video received an anonymous tip from a source that has provided them with reliable information in the past. Additionally, the removal of P.T. from the Playstation Network might have been a show of good faith by Konami to ensure its exclusivity on the Xbox One platform.

Please remember that this is solely to be taken as a rumor until we have heard otherwise.

Might look for this unless the price is already adjusted $25 higher. $60 last I checked the older models out.

In the console unboxing...

The new console has HDMI on the front sticker. I have the original sticker on mine still & can tell ya that is not easy to peel off, nor should you really. Serves as a reminder to not ever use it standing upright.

So I guess I have to ask MS what is so great about HDMI?
