The company was advised that the film was likely to receive an 18 certificate but that their preferred 15 classification could be achieved by making cuts to reduce the violence in two scenes. When the finished version of the film was submitted for formal classification, edits had been made to reduce sequences of violence, including detail of a stabbing with a corkscrew and a garroting. The formal submission was consequently rated 15.

I am going to wait for this Blu-ray release, I am not watching another cut release in the cinema. This film looks very good, I would vote for the first picture to be the artwork for the steelbook.

If you buy the Equalizer steelbook with the DVD boxset of the TV show you get £20 off the DVD, reducing it from £59.99 to £39.99
This is significantly cheaper than elsewhere as the boxset is around £60 at Amazon etc.

However the boxset ships now (well its actually when Zavvi have stock as its already released), so if you take this offer you are locked into the steelbook as it will be a linked order.

Interesting because every review Ive seen so far says about how bad it is! Enough to put me off a blind buy anyway.

I was going by my friends/family members who have seen it. The RT score isn't too bad at the minute if you go by that sort of thing, 59%.

This movie was really good. Just got home from seeing it. Could have easily been an 18 rated movie.

Was very well done and a good story.

fully agree i never touch a steel over £20 unless you getting an extra incentive like 3d or heavy embossed art work.

i will pre-order but i will probably cancel near release and wait for the Amaray on this one... £22.99 even with 10% discount is still a little high in my books.

also in regards the cover i think the first image also would look cool with the title De-bossed and the blacked out figure being Em-bossed but i can see this being rigged like the jump street steel book ending up with the tackiest cover of the 3 lol
