I see that the US is getting a new barrel boxset coming for Christmas. Only change is it includes a promotional match book for Better Call Saul. Otherwise content identical to last year's.

I was lucky to get the UK version of this was sold out months before release to pre-orders only. There is obviously a market given the ebay resale prices, so Sony should make a few more and sell in UK and Europe, not just US.

Yeah, I'm assuming this is the UK equivalent to the barrel reprint, if it includes the bonus 2 hour doc, and the price is right. I'm probably in...

Am I right in thinking the UK barrel set included the missing commentaries, uncensored episodes and US store exclusives? If so, those would be nice too...

I'm sorry but... that is one ugly looking design.

If they wanted to do a tin, why not have a Los Pollos Hermanos style lunchbox.

So this is pretty cool, but I reckon it'll make the regular set cheaper and I'd only go for this if it had the extra documentary disc from the barrel. I remember last year Amazon sold the set for as little as £50 around Christmas I think (Lightning Deals). If this has no extra discs, I'll go for the normal set as soon as it's on sale!

It's not that bad, but yeah a Los Pollos Hermanos-themed set would've been excellent! Seems like the set will be similar to Band Of Brothers? I'm guessing with a digipack interior.

Yes it had exactly the same as the US all the extras are identical. They obviously remastered new disks to replace the previously compromised ones used in UK and Europe.

Perhaps they're made too many copies of the new discs and are now trying to get rid of the excess...

I think the tin looks really tacky.

I don't think it looks nice (maybe if they'd gone for something less childish?), but if it's a chance to get the barrel's contents without paying £100+, I can deal with it...

Given the complete digipack has stuck at £70+ for a year with only a handful of limited deals (including the £49.99 deal of the day before Christmas last year), this set could easily be £100 at launch especially as it comes with the tin so more appeal to collectors.

£100 was a marquee figure, I'd have to see the actual price and what's included before I made a call...

I think I'll stick to the original set. It only cost me £30 on BD.

£30?! You did well there.

This tin isn't very nice but hopefully it will drive the normal set down in price and yeah its been hovering over £60 for ages.

Im not in any rush though - got far too much to watch already, especially TV series boxsets.

It was from Very.co.uk £60 at the time and a £30 off £60 spend, got lucky

Nice idea, but bare metal isn't a good look. Needs color.
