Australia Mission Impossible films on Blu-ray - which version is best?

I remember reading some criticism towards the MI films in regards to their audio for their Aussie release. I'm keen to get the first three films on BD... Which is the best version to pick up? American? UK? Or are they the same as the Australian release?

I believe they are all the same? Even the repackaged UK trilogy set.

In all reality, every version is the same. Whether you watch the original release or re-release, the picture quality will be the same. The audio has not improved either. IMHO, wait for the the 1-4 boxset to come out in April and see if they give the trilogy HD audio. If you have to buy it, i say go for the US release. Really nice packaging and if you can get it from someone in the US, will cost around $25 including shipping. If you want the Aus trilogy, its currently $39.99 at Dick Smith.

The new Scandinavian trilogy sets are the best at this moment in time. While the image has been given a AVC encode it is basically a re-encode of the same transfer so the improvement is just slight there. The real upgrade is the DTS-HD MA tracks for all three films and that they've included all extras for M:I I and M:I II which are non-existant on the new sets everywhere else.

I re-watched this recently and the JB exclusive steelbook is 2BDs, 1 DVD, movie only on 1 BD and the second BD has all the extras. I sampled about 25 mins and the video bit rate stays above 30Mbps.

If anyone has it and could do a BD info scan to confirm it, I'm pretty sure it is the same as the 3 disc Best Buy exclusive.

Yeah, that's why asked if anyone that the JB steelbook could maybe scan the disc and see if it came up with the same numbers.

I was about to grab the Best Buy one off of ebay, went back and checked out some of the Mbps on the disc and it looks very similar (also no extras on the disc), but I don't have the ability to scan it with BD info.
