Default Petition for WB to have 2D IMAX screenings of BvS.

With this film being shot with 70mm IMAX cameras for many scenes, and reports that WB is only releasing it in IMAX 3D, I am angered that I won't be able to see this movie in it's native format. I hate 3D and many others do.
If I started a Change.org petition to have WB shown BVS in 2D Imax for at least some showings would any of you guys get behind it?

You are wasting your time. Sorry but nothing will of it if you do it. It will be only for your own gratification that you made an attempt but it won't change anything.

You are probably right, however I won't be just promoting it on bluray.com I would promote it all over the place. Even if the petition receives a moderate amount of success you are probably right that it would not change a thing.

Cause YOU know Zack's intended vision better than he does?

Make the petition for 2D IMAX screens in general, not just for BvS and/or WB.

Never claimed I did. Peter Jackson's vision for the Hobbit movies was HFR 3D, I still didn't want to see it in that format. I don't want to necessarily experience a "directors vision" I want to experience a movie how i want to, and I believe all the options should be available for anyone to see it the way they want to unfortunately IMAX 2D is rarely an option.

Got to love the sense of entitlement of a growing number of people of this generation, here is an idea why not Film maker present the movie to you the way He or she envisions his or her story.

Don't believe I'm entitled to anything at all. I just wish films could be available in all formats so people can choose the way they view.

Same here, and not everyone can watch 3D. For example, I get headaches when I watch 3D.

Headaches are obviously the filmmakers intention then.

The fact of the matter is, most who go to a IMAX screening go for the IMAX experience. You don't quite get it with 2D IMAX because IMAX is well-known for its 3D.

Most "IMAX experiences" are actually "LieMax experiences" with the 3D and smaller than real IMAX screens. Unfortunately only a few theaters offer true IMAX experiences anymore, and in my opinion, it far surpasses the IMAX theaters at most malls.

There's a brilliant IMAX at Cardiff. I saw Toy Story 3 there and it was brilliant. They had a presenter introducing the film before it started and everything.

Obviously if you don't promote the petition it won't go anywhere but I found this one for 2D Star Wars that only got 10 signs. I gave it a sign though.

I'm looking forward to watching this in IMAX 3D! If it was just 2D i probably wouldn't bother.

IMAX should be like the RPX and alternate between 3D and 2D showings like Regal did for Fury Road. For them to support just one format of a certain film is quite nonsense and would bring in more profit because of people like nrocket and myself. This thing about IMAX being known for its 3D is ridiculous. What actually revived interest in the format was The Dark Knight which was shown in 2D along with the next film in the franchise and then again with Interstellar. Chris Nolan has set the bar when it comes to IMAX filmmaking without any BS gimmicks and I think everyone should follow lead but if they absolutely must do 3D showings, give everyone else an alternative than headgear that darkens everything up.

You're wasting your time. This will not happen no matter how many petitions you get.

One reason: $$$$$

I think that was Michael Bay's intention when he directed Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen.
