My local Target is like that too. 5 rows of hd dvd, 10 rows of blu-ray. This has to send a clear picture to would be hi-def. adopters.
Look for retail to continue squeezing hd dvd till it's all out of lemon juice.

Not a problem. I love Target. Rarely buy BD's there as I am mostly an Amazon shopper - but when I need to pick one up - I go there first

I noticed while at work, there is a Disney on Blu-ray ad playing on one of the TV's. And it is not on the Blu-ray display tv. Some of the coming soon commercials that play also say, "coming soon to DVD and Blu-ray." It is a nice thing to hear. A lot of people stop and look at the Blu display endcap too.

I was at the Wal-Mart and they had a BD display with CARS playing, sounds good, right? but what pisses me off most is they have it hooked to the carappiest 720p HDTV, Come on........1080p material deserves a 1080p Tv.
Its the same way at CC and the damn hddvd is hooked to a 50" 1080p TV next to a 32: sony 720p for the blu.

Nothing like bad merchandising to beat our good product down

My Target sucks as far as its Blu-ray selection goes. Four rows of Blu-ray versus two rows of HD-DVD. Talk about a selection huh? Also the sad part is that they have multiple slots for some of the Blu-ray movies.

The Best Buy I go to here in Charlotte is doing an amazing job of squeezing HD DVD OUT of it's spot. I should get a shot of that aisle and upload it. Nearly every blu ray has the whole front facing out. Nearly every HD DVD has just the spine showing. Consequently Blu Ray takes up almost half of one side and almost three quarters of the other side. HD DVD has about as minimal amount of space as you can give it.

For those inclined to see for yourself it's the Best Buy in the University area of Charlotte.

I shop almost entirely online and I haven't stepped foot in a Target in about three years, but I might have to check my local store out just to see how they lean. Best Buy is the only B&M store that carries any stock around these parts.

One of The Best Buys I go to down in the Saint Louis area is doing the same. The Blu-Ray section seems to be getting larger while the HD DVD section seems to be getting smaller.

The Target by has a display like that. I think it was about 6 weeks ago when they changed. Before that, it was disgusting.

My target has grown to be about 2 to 1 as well, but their selection is only about 4 rows BD, and 2 rows HD.

I don't see a great selection of Blu's at my local Target, plus the prices are not so great either.

Best Buy has the best selection if you are willing to pay their crazy prices.

Same thing with the Target here. The endcap was very impressive.

That's been the display at one of my local Targets for a while. I'm more impressed by BB's display. They've setup a whole big aisle plus taking part of the hd dud side and part of the dvd side as well.

Also of note is that there are at least 6-10 copies of each dud title while the blus are short, with some completely out of stock.

That's tiny compared to my Best Buy. It has two full front and back rows of all Blu-rays, pretty cool.
