Your title sounds anti Sony IMO.

It's the title of one of the articles listed.

A good overview of the recent articles, Porfie. Thanks.

the "dramatic" fall by 2% this year and 8% next year (for me prevision = rumor) is somewhat ridiculous, as it could very well be only people switching to Blu-ray and HD DVD, and the cause could as well be people waiting for a winner, thus not wanting to buy Blu-ray and HD DVD and not DVDs too that would have to be replaced by the winner ... no need to be analyst to think that!

Faster internet connections will also be reducing the number of DVD sales. There are so many torrent sites these days where you can download films for free and as people have the faster connections it doesn't take days to download, you start it at night and it could have finished downloading in the morning. I used to do a lot of blind buying with DVD's (hence the 800+ I own), but these days I'll download something I think I might find interesting and if I like it I'll buy it, if not then I haven't wasted any money. Pretty much all the Blu-ray's I own I've already got on DVD or have downloaded first. My days of blind buying are pretty much at an end.
