"Another classic we're currently working on is Walter Hill's cult favourite SOUTHERN COMFORT, scheduled for UK Blu-ray and DVD release by the end of the year. Walter Hill very kindly granted a rare interview for us and will feature in a 40 minute documentary, 'Who Will Live, Who Will Die' in which he talks about the making of this legendary film"

this is a golden opportunity to release ry cooders full score, maybe with the blu or as an isolated track! probably wont happen but would be awesome.

I have never seen this but a guy in work keep's asking me 'Is Southern Comfort out on Blu-ray yet?'
He has recommended I see it and says 'If you like Deliverence you will enjoy Southern Comfort'

Will most likely get this one. I haven't seen it in a number of years, but remember it being really raw and gritty. Maybe even nihilistic, if that's the right word.

Good way of describing it. One of the scenes I remember the most, which actually scared me, was

I noticed now that it has been many moons since I have seen this movie, I just can't seem to remember the scene you are referring to.

I just have a mental image of how the movie looked and and how it made me feel at the time, probably 10-15 years ago. I do remember

I believe I will actually like it more now, since my taste for dark and gritty films has just grown over the years. I remember this one being one of my first encounters (along with Deliverance) of these kinds of films.

Definitely looking forward to it!

What's with the talk about VHS? There was a decent R1 DVD released a few years ago.
