Default Redeeming Flixster HD movie with SD version already in library

Has anyone had any trouble redeeming a BluRay HD UV code on Flixster when you already had the SD version of the movie in your library? Flixster kept giving me an error message when I tried. It would recognize the code but could not update my collection. I tried on-line chatting with customer service to no avail and finally opened up multiple help tickets, again to no avail.

Flixster customer service then stated it was impossible to upgrade to HD. When I insisted I was adding the HD version, not really upgrading, they then stated the code was already used (by me, on my Flixster account!)

I finally got the HD movie collection to add to Flixster and transfer to VUDU by redeeming a different movie on VUDU. That seemed to push the prior Flixster HD movie through.

Flixster customer service was completely useless ! Anyone else have a similar experience or was I just unlucky?

Flixster is the worst when it comes to SD/HD issues. You can't even d2d a movie through them if you own an SD copy of it. It will say you already own it.

Yeah, I even tried deleting the SD version in my UVVU account, but it didn't delete in Flixster. I just can't believe how clueless Flixster customer service is, not very helpful at all. I prefer Vudu.

You can delete the movie directly in Flixster.

You can also unlink and relink your UV account and it should be gone.

Tried deleting directly from Flixster, wouldn't let me. That's why I went to my uvvu account to delete. Didn't think of unlinking and relinking my acct. Just glad it all worked out. Don't plan on getting anymore SD movies or series. Lesson learned! Stick with HD from the get go .

Is there any way to delete a tv show in flixster?

I've been trying to get help from their 'support' for days and they just keep telling me to do it myself. But there is no delete button. This is for something that originated on flixster too.

I tried to use the delete feature on uvvu.com but it did nothing.

I don't know TV shows specifically, but I have seen the delete button when I have check movies

Yes I had an Sd copy and then got an HD code. I emailed them and told them my problem, I told them the movie and gave them my code. Took a couple days but they emailed me back and updated my SD copy to HD. It was super easy that way highly recommend.

I've upgraded a handful of titles through Flixster and haven't had any issues thus far.

I'm curious of what the error message said. And the size of your collection. It sounds like perhaps the code redeemed despite the error but your collection didn't update (which is sometimes a problem with large collections).

Doesn't look like it. I don't see a delete button with any of my TV shows.

Error 40014, sorry an error has occurred when trying to update your ultraviolet collection. Please try again later. If you continue to experience this issue, contact Flixster customer service.

Kept getting the same message hours and days later, and no help from Flixster customer service.

My collection is relatively small compared with others on this forum, I had just over 250 at the time of redemption.

Do you happen to have Parental Controls setup on this account? I have sometimes seen that users will see this error message if this is the case.

If not, I would reach out to us again with the error message you are receiving. I am sure we can get to the bottom of the issue.

At this time there is no way to delete a TV show (Episode) from your Flixster collection on our website. You can login to https://www.uvvu.com/ and delete the TV show that way, but it may not remove the listing from your Flixster Collection when you log back in.

I would contact our Customer Service Team again. You can click “Contact Us” from the FAQ page for support at: http://flixster.desk.com/

We should be able to help you out with your request. You can refer to this post when you email in.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

I did manage to get the title deleted...

The delete function on uvvu did not work for this title (shocking, right?). uvvu support offered no help unfortunately.

Ultimately a really nice Flixster representative was able to manually remove the title for me.

Just ran into this problem myself, with a digital HD copy of Man of Steel (I already owned the SD copy in Flixster/UVVU). On a whim, I just went to Vudu.com and typed in my flixster code, and it worked, now I have the SD and HDX copies in my Vudu/UVVU account. Not sure if this was a fluke, or if this will help anyone else out, but it worked for me. Maybe it will work for you guys too.
