Default Notice how we don't get 'trailer voice' guy anymore?

There has definitely been a big shift away from using the infamous 'trailer voice' guy who was so popular throughout the 80's, 90's and some of the 00's. Now instead of a deep voice over in trailers we get what would have been said by trailer voice guy up on the screen as text, or the information is conveyed to us using dialogue from the movie. I wonder when this shift first really started, always loved trailer voice guy and lots of my favourite trailers from the 80's or 90's would be worse off without him/ them. I always remember that hilarious trailer with the guy in the booth doing trailer voice "On an outpost, on the edge of space..." lol.

Does anyone else miss trailer voice? Do we all prefer the current way without a voiceover?
