Default Marvel's Secret Wars (2015)

I really like this series so far, and I am very surprised that I do. I've been burning through the tie-ins over the past few days so I'm ready for the next round.

My thoughts so far:

Secret Wars (main series):I really like this so far (only 2 issues in). There definitely seems to be a sense of urgency and finality to it. Granted who knows if this will stick or end up meaning anything in a few years, but at least the story feels epic and like a true event.

Ultimate End #1: Interest meeting of the 616 and Ultimate characters. Not much happens. Good setup issue but they need to kick it into gear quickly. Nothing really happens . Tony Stark vs. Tony Stark was cool. That was about it.

BattleWorld #1: Hilarious story involving M.O.D.O.K and his struggle with himself. The other story regarding Punisher/Strange in the future is pretty good as well. Not worth $4 though. Very short.

BattleWorld: Journal #1: I wasn't sure entirely what was going on in this issue. I feel like I missed a setup story or some type of lead-in issue. It isn't terrible but again, probably not worth the money. It's a medieval story revolving thieves trying to steal something of Doom's. Will read further but the first issue was underwhelming.

Old Man Logan #1:I liked this issue because it seemed like they got the feel of that world right. I think it will be interesting to see how they work Old Logan into the main story (which I'm hoping they do). They weave Ultron back into it so who knows where it could go.

Inferno: I haven't really read any X-Men comics over the years. I could never keep the teams straight. This book follows Colossus and some of the x-men as they try and save his sister from the Demon hordes of the Inferno in New York. Good enough first issue to keep me interested.

As an end note, I find it interesting that DC is throwing away one-earth continuity while Marvel is trying to align everything in one earth. It remains to be seen what will happen with both but I'm leaning towards DC having the better idea in this instance.
