Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death

This is out today I believe. I thought it was a good follow up to the first and will be picking it up at lunchtime. Looking forward to giving it a rewatch.

Had this 9 days ago from Rakuten, thought it came out last week.

It's funny you say that as i also thought i'd seen someone post pics of it in hand from a few days ago, yet i checked Amazon last night and it definitely said release date: 13 July 2015. Also they didn't have it in my local HMV last week. strange guess Rakuten either got copies early, or there is some retailer confusion over the release date.

I ordered from eone's shop on Rakuten so they might of just sent it early, I posted a pic on the new haul thread when it arrived

Decent sequel, noticed the lead character is called Parkins, presume this is a nod to M.R James' Whistle And I'll Come To You.

I loved the first movie it was so atmospheric so I might get the sequel when I have enough cash.

I saw it in asda this morning for £13. Later I saw it in Tesco but I didn't see a price on the shelf. Both shops had the slipcase.

Yeah, The Woman In Black is cut and has some sound FX reduced in the UK

Woman In Black 2 is uncut

The first film only had 6 seconds of actual footage removed but it had many many adjustments to the rest of the film to make it less scary including toning down one of the best moments in the whole film.

Unfortunately , while the uncut version does have a BBFC 15 the distributor has yet to release it here so I got the US disc.

Got the US disc of Part 2 aswell. It's not as good as the first one, the attempts to make you jump by thrusting things into shot fast that was used so effectively in the first one really is over used in the second one.

It's a worthwhile film to see though

The German release of the original film is uncut so there is a region b option.
